Michel
Faber was
born in Holland, brought up in Australia and now lives in the Scottish
Highlands. His stories have been widely anthologised and his debut collection,
Some Rain Must Fall won the Saltire First Book of the Year Award
in 1999. Under the Skin, his first novel, was
shortlisted for the Whitbread Prize.
